Meet Paula

Paula Naumcheff is a chef, culinary instructor, and food writer with decades of experience across professional kitchens, classrooms, restaurants, and media.

She has served as faculty in a Culinary Arts Associate’s Degree Program and is a certified instructor for the National Restaurant Association. Her teaching career spans formal culinary education, public classes, demonstrations, and guest chef appearances.

Raised in a Macedonian-American family of restaurateurs and bakers, Paula’s approach to food is grounded in technique, tradition, and lived experience. She is nationally recognized for her work as a bread artist, particularly her focaccia designs, and trained under artisan baker Chef Joseph Carey.

As a restaurateur, Paula founded Sweet Bistro in Memphis, earning multiple honors from Memphis Magazine, including Best Dessert and Best Martini Bar.

Before fully committing to the culinary world, Paula earned a bachelor’s degree in Finance and worked in sales, training, and finance for Fortune 100 companies. She also worked professionally as a model and actress, experience that continues to inform her editorial and on-camera presence.

Today, Paula leads Eat Splendid and collaborates with select food, beverage, home, and lifestyle brands on founder-led editorial projects.

She lives in Huntsville, Alabama, with her rescue dogs, Izzy and Henry.
