Ingredients
- 2 ounces premium tequila
- 1 ounce Grand Marnier or Gran Gala liqueur
- ½ ounce Cointreau or triple sec *
- 2 ounces freshly squeezed lime juice (use fresh lime juice!)
- 1 ½ – 2 ounces simple syrup (vary for sweetness)
- Hawaiian Black sea salt and lime wedge to garnish glass rim
Instructions
1. Rub rim of margarita glass with a lime wedge, then coat the rim lightly with Hawaiian black sea salt.
2. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add tequila, Grand Marnier, Cointreau, lime juice and simple syrup. Shake for 30 seconds and pour into ice-filled black salt rimmed glass. Enjoy!
For a traditional margarita with delicious heat, use Ancho Reyes Chili Liqueur instead of Cointreau and rim the glass with Tajin seasoning for additional spice.
